Summer 2025 Recreational Schedule and Information

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!

 

Toddler – Ages 18 months – 3.5 years

4-Week Recreational Summer Session – July 15th-August 6th – Join us for a fun 4-week session full of movement and fun.  There is no required dance attire.   See age groups below:

Dance and Play: This class is intended for toddlers, ages 18 months to 3 years and their parent/guardian. Elements of ballet, jazz, tap, gymnastics, and creative movement will be incorporated into the class. No shoes required.

Movin’ & Groovin’:  This class is intended for children ages 2.5 to 3.5 years old as a step up from Dance and Play.  The child is independent of parent/guardian and is learning and preparing for the Preschool dance level.  Ballet shoes recommended.

Click the blue “Register” button to begin the registration process.  (Current clients can log into the customer portal Manage My Account).  Classes that are full will show “Waitlist”.  You can register on the waitlist and you will be contacted if an opening becomes available.  If no Register/Waitlist button is available, either registration is not yet open or the class is closed and is no longer accepting enrollment. 

Preschool and Kindergarten 

 

Princess Camps (Ages 3-6) – June 21st & Aug 16th – Dancers will dance, tumble and craft their way through a fun filled camp and interact with a special princess guest.

4-Week Recreational Summer Session July 15th-August 6th – Join us for a 5-week session full of movement and fun.  See age groups below:

Preschool:  Ages 3.5-5 years old.  Dancers must be 3.5 by July 1st, 2025.  This class will focus primarily on tap and ballet but elements of jazz, tumbling, and creative movement will also be incorporated. Ballet shoes and tap shoes are recommended.

Preschool TUMBLING:  Ages 3.5-5 years old.  Dancers must be 3.5 by July 1st, 2025This class will work on beginning tumbling skills while developing body awareness, coordination, and strength.  No shoes.

Kindergarten: Dancers entering Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year. This class will focus primarily on tap and jazz but elements of ballet, tumbling, and creative movement will also be incorporated. Ballet shoes and tap shoes are recommended.

Kindergarten TUMBLING: Dancers entering Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year. This class will work on beginning tumbling skills while developing body awareness, coordination and strength.  No shoes.

 

Shoes & Attire

Shoes – The following shoes listed are the shoes that we are planning to use for our 2026 recital.  These shoes colors/styles are not required but are recommended when purchasing new shoes.

  • Ballet/Jazz:  Pink leather ballet shoe
  • Tap:  Black tap tie
  • Superheroes: Sneakers (no outside street shoes)

Dress Attire – There is no required dance attire.  Dancers should wear their hair pulled back in a ponytail with tight fitting dance attire/athletic gear.

All-Star (1st – 12th Grade)

 

4-Week Recreational Summer Session – July 15th-August 6th – Dancers in 1st-6th Grade will have the option to pick from a Jazz/Tap/Ballet Combo Session or a Hip-Hop Session or conveniently participate in both.  Dancers in 7th-12th Grade will  will have the option of a 5-week session that will focus on Flexibility & Conditioning and/or a 4-week session focusing on jazz skill development.  

1st-3rd Gr. Jazz/Tap/Ballet Combo: For dancers entering 1st-3rd Grade for the 2025-2026 school year  

1st-3rd Gr. Hip-Hop: For dancers entering 1st-3rd Grade for the 2025-2026 school year 

4th-6th Gr. Jazz/Tap/Ballet Combo: For dancers entering 4th-6th Grade for the 2025-2026 school year

4th-6th Gr. Hip-Hop: For dancers entering 4th-6th Grade for the 2025-2026 school year

7th-12th Grade – Conditioning & Skills (Intermediate Level): For dancers entering 7th-12th Grade for the 2025-2026 school year.  This class will focus on conditioning and skills (turns, leaps, and other various skills) geared toward the intermediate level dancer.  Dancers must have previous dance experience.

Prep Camps – June 24-26th & July 22-24th – Do you have a recreational dancer (Elementary or Middle/High School age) who was recommended for the competitive program?  Our Prep Camps are the perfect training opportunity for you.  These Prep Camps are intended for:

-Intermediate level dancers (or advanced level dancers at smaller studios) who are new to Studio 4 and interested in skill development prior to the competitive Summer Intensive and Auditions.  

-Recreational dancers who are showing interest and readiness for a higher level of training.  

-Dancers who have signed up for the Competitive Summer Skills classes, but finding these classes to be too advanced

Shoes & Attire

Shoes – The following shoes listed are the shoes that we are planning to use for our 2026 recital.  These shoes colors/styles are not required but are recommended when purchasing new shoes.

  • Jazz:  Tan slip-on jazz shoe and/or Turner
  • Tap:  Tan strappy tap
  • Ballet: Ballet technique will be taught in the jazz/tap/ballet classes, but no formal ballet attire including shoes are needed
  • Contemporary: Tan turners
  • Hip-Hop: Any athletic shoe, but must be reserved for class only (no street shoes are allowed in the dance rooms).

Dress Attire – There is no required dance attire.  Dancers should wear their hair pulled back in a ponytail with tight fitting dance attire/athletic gear.  Dancers may be allowed to wear loose fitting clothing for Hip-Hop.

Avengers: For dancers entering 1st-5th Grade for the 2025-2026 school year.  This boys only class will focus primarily on hop-hop movement but elements of creative movement, tumbling, and other dance styles may also be incorporated. 

Shoes – Any athletic shoe, but must be reserved for class only (no street shoes in the dance rooms).

Attire – Athletic gear

Additional Zoom classes/camps may be offered.  If you register for a Zoom class, you will receive an email prior to the start of class with the Zoom instructions and class link.
