Recreational Class Descriptions & Enrollment
Studio 4 provides quality, fun instruction in a safe and supportive environment. Class placement is based on the student’s age and ability at the instructor’s discretion. You will be notified if any changes are necessary.
***IMPORTANT***Register based on your child’s grade level for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year and the age requirements listed below.
Toddler Program (Ages 18 Months to 3 1/2 years old)
Dance and Play: Ages 18 months to 2 1/2 years old. Dancers must be 18 months by Sept. 1, 2024. Monthly tuition: $55.00.
This 30 minute class is intended for toddlers ages 18 months-2 1/2 years old and their parent/guardian. Elements of ballet, jazz, tap, gymnastics, and creative movement will be incorporated in the class. Dance attire not required. Dancers will have the option to perform one dance at the Holiday Show and one dance at the end of the year recital. See Recital Information for additional details.

Movin’ & Groovin’: Ages 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 years old. Dancers must be 2 1/2 by Sept. 1, 2024. Monthly Tuition: $55.00
This 30 minute class is intended as a step up from Dance and Play. The child is independent from parent/guardian and is learning and preparing for the Preschool dance level. Ballet shoes are required, dance attire/athletic apparel is encouraged. Dancers will perform one dance at the Holiday Show and one dance at the end of the year recital. You can register on the waitlist and you be contacted if an opening becomes available. Should enough students register on the waitlist for any given class a new class option may be created. Note that time and day may differ. If no Register button is available, the class is closed for this season and no longer accepting enrollment.
Preschool and Kindergarten Program (Ages 3 1/2 to 6 years old)
Preschool: 3 1/2 to 5 years old. Dancers must be 3.5 by Sept. 1st, 2024. Monthly Tuition: $70.00 – 40 Minute
Preschool classes focus primarily on tap and ballet but elements of jazz, gymnastics, and creative movement will also be incorporated. Tap shoes (black patent leather) are ballet shoes (girls-pink leather, boys-black leather) are required. Dancers can wear any dance attire or form fitting athletic apparel. Preschool dancers will perform a dance at the Holiday Show and a ballet and a tap dance at the end of the year recital. See Recital Information for additional details.

Preschool Tumbling: 3 1/2 to 5 years old. Dancers must be 3.5 by Sept. 1st, 2024. Monthly Tuition: $55.00 – 30 Minute
Preschool tumbling classes focus on beginner tumbling and general body awareness. There is no recital related performance for this class.
Kindergarten: Dancers must be 5 by Sept. 1, 2024. Monthly Tuition: $80.00 – 55 minute class

1st-12th Grade “All-Stars”
The All-Star program for dancers in 1st-12th Grade has been designed to offer students the opportunity to select class styles based on their interest through an a la carte program. Weekly classes range from 40 minutes to 1hr and 25 minutes depending on the dancer’s age and class styles. Dancers in the All-Star Program will perform in the Holiday Show and end of the year recital. See Recital Information for additional details.

Contemporary: 40 Minute Class – Monthly Tuition: $70.00
Dancers will perform a contemporary piece in the year end recital. Dance attire and tan turners are required. Dancers can wear any dance attire or form fitting athletic apparel. One recital costume is required.
Hip Hop: 40 Minute Class – Monthly Tuition: $70.00
Dancers will perform a hip hop piece in the year end recital. Athletic shoes required. (Note: Shoes should be reserved for class only, no street shoes will be allowed). Dancers can wear any dance attire or form fitting athletic apparel. One recital costume is required.
Jazz/Tap/Ballet Combo: 55 Minute Class – Monthly tuition: $80.00
Dancers will perform both a tap and jazz piece in the year end recital. Dance attire, tan slip-on jazz shoes and tan strappy tap shoes are required (no ballet attire necessary). Dancers can wear any dance attire or form fitting athletic apparel. One recital costume is required.
Dance Team (6th+ Only): 40 Minute Class – Monthly Tuition: $70.00
Dancers will perform a jazz piece in the year end recital. Dance attire and tan slip-on jazz shoes are required. Dancers can wear any dance attire or form fitting athletic apparel. One recital costume is required.
Pre-Competition (Pre-comp):
Pre-Comp provides recreational dancers the opportunity to compete with a limited time commitment. Weekly training will include ballet fundamentals. Dancers will compete 1-2 dances (see styles below) at 2-3 local competitions in addition to the Holiday Show and end of the year recital. Recital costumes are required per style. ***Additional fees will apply (such as competition entry fees, make-up, etc…)*** No audition needed for this class, however dancers MUST have previous dance experience within the past couple of years and be focused and excited about their dance training.
1st/2nd Gr Pre-Comp (Jazz & Tap): 1 hr 10 Min Class – Monthly Tuition: $90.00
Tan strappy tap, tan slip-on jazz shoes, and dance attire required. Dancers can wear any dance attire or form fitting athletic apparel.
3rd-5th Pre-Comp (Jazz & Tap): 1 hr 10 Min Class – Monthly Tuition: $90.00
Tan strappy tap, tan slip-on jazz shoes, and dance attire required. Dancers can wear any dance attire or form fitting athletic apparel.
6th-12th Gr (Jazz & Contemporary): 1 hour Class – Monthly Tuition: $85.00
Tan slip-on jazz shoes and dance attire required. Dancers can wear any dance attire or form fitting athletic apparel.

BOYS ONLY
Superheroes: Ages 3 1/2 to Kindergarten (Dancers must be 3 1/2 by Sept. 1, 2023). 30 minute class. Monthly tuition: $50.00* (free with paying sibling)
This class meets once per week for boys ages 3 1/2 through Kindergarten. Athletic shoes designated for dance class only are required. Dancers can wear any athletic apparel. This class will perform one dance at the Holiday Show and one dance at the end of the year recital. One recital costume is required. See Recital Information for additional details. Additional Expenses (including Annual Family Registration Fee) will apply.
Avengers: Grades 1st-5th: 40 minute class. Monthly tuition: $65.00* (free with paying sibling)
This classes meets once per week. Athletic shoes designed for dance class only are required. Dancers can wear any athletic apparel. This class will perform one dance at the Holiday Show and one dance at the end of the year recital. One recital costume is required. See Recital Information for additional details. Additional Expenses (including Annual Family Registration Fee) will apply.
*Note: During the 2023-2024 Superheroes & Avengers Boys Only classes are eligible for the “Free Boys Only Class Tuition”. Dancers in these classes must have a sibling dancing at Studio 4 during the current season to receive the discount. One free boy per paying sibling. No other discounts will apply.
