Optional Ballet Intensive – 4-Day – June 10-13th – 1st Grade & Older

This Optional Ballet Intensive is intended for competitive dancers 1st Grade and older who want to focus on their technical training.  YAGP dancers are expected to attend.  Dancers who are ready for pointe will be invited to take part in the Pointe I or Pointe II add-on option.  The Pointe add-on is expected for YAGP dancers.  Ballet attire required.  Please register based on your 2024-2025 school grade.

1st/2nd Grade – 9:30-10:30am – 1hr Class  – $50 Early Bird Rate / $60 (Beginning 5/1)

3rd-5th Grade – 10:30am-12pm – 1.5hr Class – $75 Early Bird Rate / $90 (Beginning 5/1)

6th-12th Grade – 9am-12pm – 1.5hr Class & 1.5hr Variations – $150 Early Bird Rate / $175 (Beginning 5/1)

Pointe 1 – 12-1pm (Invite Only) – $50 Early Bird Rate / $60 (Beginning 5/1)

Competitive Summer Skills Classes are intended for competitive level dancers entering 1st grade and older for the 2024-2025 school year wanting to develop their skills and experience quality training. For your convenience, the class schedule remains consistent each week (excluding Week 1 for 6th-12th Grade).  Ballet attire required for ballet/pointe classes. Please register based on your 2024-2025 school grade.  Preschool and Kindergarten age dancers who are interested in Summer training see Pre-K Summer Skills opportunity below.  

UNLIMITED PACKAGE – $350 Early Bird Rate / $375 Regular Rate (Beginning 5/1) –  The Unlimited Package saves $400+ OFF on Summer Training.  Purchasing an Unlimited Package allows your dancer to train in 50+ hours of quality summer classes.  Register for the Unlimited Package for your dancer’s grade and your dancer will automatically have “Drop-In” access to all of the Summer Skills (5-Week) offerings for their grade.  The AYB Tues/Thurs classes (for AYB II and YAGP soloists.  See AYB/YAGP information below) are included in this Unlimited package.  ***DO NOT purchase individual weeks when purchasing an Unlimited Package***

The ballet classes are highly encouraged for all YAGP dancers

 

SCHEDULE:

1st/2nd Grade: Mondays & Wednesdays 11-12pm Leaps, 12-1pm Turns, 1-2pm Ballet AND Tuesdays & Thursdays  11-12pm Conditioning, 12-1pm Acro, 1-2pm Tap

3rd-5th Grade: Mondays & Wednesdays 9-11am Ballet (Pointe 10:30-11am for those ready/invited.  Those dancers not on pointe will take class on flat), 11-12pm Turns, 12-1pm Leaps AND Tuesdays & Thursdays 10-11am Conditioning, 11-12pm Acro, 12-1pm Tap

6th-8th Grade: Mondays & Wednesdays 9-10am Turns, 10-11am Leaps, 11-1pm Ballet (Pointe 12:30-1pm for those ready/invited.  Those dancers not on pointe will take class on flat) AND Tuesdays & Thursdays 9-10am Conditioning, 10-11am Acro.  ***6th-8th Grade is combined with 9th-12th Grade for Ballet, Acro, & Conditioning Weeks 1-5 and for Leaps and Turns during Week 1.***

9th-12th Grade: Mondays & Wednesdays 9-10 Leaps, 10-11am Turns, 11-1pm Ballet (Pointe 12:30-1pm for those ready/invited.  Those not on pointe will take class on flat) AND Tuesdays & Thursdays 9-10am Conditioning, 10-11am Acro. ***9th-12th Grade is combined with 6th-8th Grade for Ballet, Acro, & Conditioning Weeks 1-5 and for Leaps and Turns during Week 1.***

Middle School/High School Grade Beginner/Intermediate Skills Option – There is a 7th-12th Grade beginner/intermediate skills class and a 7th-12th Grade Stretch & Conditioning class offered  as part of our 5-week Recreational Summer Session.  This may be a good fit for competitive dancers around this age group who are finding the Summer Skills classes to be too advanced.  See Recreational Summer page of our website for class information and registration.  Contact the front desk with questions.

Preschool/Kindergarten Competitive Skills – Must be 4 by Sept 1st

TAP & JAZZ SKILLS – Tuesdays & Wednesdays – 4-5pm – 4-weeks (July 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, 31) – $100 Early Bird Rate / $125 (Beginning 5/1)

ACRO/FLEX SKILLS – Tuesdays & Thursdays – 9:30-10am – 5-weeks (June 18, 20, July 9, 11, July 16, 18, 23, 25, Aug 20, 22) – $60 Early Bird Rate / $75 (Beginning 5/1)

Intended for Preschool and Kindergarten age competitive dancers who want to develop their tap, jazz, and/or acro/flex skills for competitive dance.  Please register based on your 2024-2025 school grade.  ***Dancers must be 4 by September 1st.****

Summer Intensive & Audition Week – July 22-26th, 2024

***REGISTER BEFORE 5/1 FOR EARLY BIRD RATE***

SUMMER INTENSIVE & AUDITION WEEK – Dancers will participate in a variety of master classes, with guest teachers (age dependent) as well as Studio 4 staff.  Dancers should bring water, shoes for all styles of dance and quick, healthy, mess free snacks.  Dancers in 5th Grade and older intensives should bring a lunch for their provided lunch break.  Additional Summer Intensive information will be emailed to participants prior to class.  Please register based on your 2024-2025 school grade.  

Dancers wanting to be considered for a 2024-2025 competitive team must register for our Summer Intensive/Audition for their grade based on their 2024-2025 school grade.   Dancers in 7th/8th Grade and 9th-12th Intensive/Audition will have a formal audition process as part of the intensive.  Dancers in Preschool/Kindergarten, 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, and 5th-6th Intensives do not have a formal audition.  These younger age groups will be evaluated throughout their Summer Intensive.    Studio 4 will determine 2024-2025 team placements based upon teacher observations during Summer Intensive as well as all previous experience with your dancer.  Placement information will be emailed following the completion of Summer Intensive.

Dancers in the Pre/K and 1st/2nd Grade Summer Intensive/Audition Class will enjoy a week of quality training with a twist of fun.  Dancers will receive a special t-shirt and parents will be invited in the last 30 minutes of class on the last day of intensive for a special showcase.   T-shirts are guaranteed for Early Bird registration only (Register by 5/1/24).  Preschool age dancers must have completed a year of Preschool and be entering Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year. 

Preschool/Kindergarten – 8:30-9:45am – $95 Early Bird Rate / $120 (Beginning 5/1)

1st/2nd Grade – 12-3pm – $260 Early Bird Rate / $285 (Beginning 5/1)

3rd-4th Grade – 8-12pm – $320 Early Bird Rate / $345 (Beginning 5/1)

5th/6th Grade – 8-1pm – $355 Early Bird Rate / $380 (Beginning 5/1)

7th/8th Grade – 8-3pm – $380 Early Bird Rate / $405 (Beginning 5/1)

9th-12th Grade – 8-3pm – $380 Early Bird Rate / $405 (Beginning 5/1)

 

Please note that Studio 4 directors reserve the right to move dancers to an Intensive that may be more suitable to their current skill level.

Class size will be limited to provide quality instruction and personal attention. Class placement is based on students’ age and ability at the instructor’s discretion. You will be notified if any changes are necessary.

Ballet Intensive, Skills, & Choreography Weeks – August 5-9th & August 12-16th – Times TBD (may include daytime AND evening hours)

BALLET INTENSIVE/SKILLS – Aug 5-9th – Dancers placed on a 2024-2025 Competitive Team will have a required Ballet Intensive and/or Skills the week of August 5-9th.  Additional details including the week’s schedule will be given with 2024-2025 team placement information.

CHOREOGRAPHY – Aug 5-9th & Aug 12-16th – Some 2024-2025 Competitive Teams and selected small groups will have required choreography during these weeks (age dependent).  Additional details including the schedule will be given with 2024-2025 team placement information.

***Please know additional choreography sessions may be scheduled throughout August for specialty groups of all ages.***

AYB PROGRAM & YAGP SOLOISTS (Invite Only) 

AYB is Studio 4’s Accelerated Youth Ballet Program, providing additional ballet training to prepared dancers.  YAGP soloists will be selected from this program based on Miss Jennifer and S4D Staff’s prior experience with interested dancers.  YAGP Soloists will compete 1-2 solos at at least one YAGP sanctioned event during the 2024-2025 dance season.  Should there be any issues with the dancer (attendance, development, attitude, etc…) placement may be suspended and/or revoked as a YAGP Soloist and/or as a member of the AYB Program.  Ballet attire is required.
